Log built wilderness cabin located on grounds of “Salla Collective Forest/Portti”-hunting area and by shore of peaceful lake Suomujärvi, about 50 km southwest from Salla. Large living-room/kitchen with 2 convertible bunks, two bedrooms, bunk bed in each. Spacious lakeside sauna building. Good, gently deepening sandy beach, rowing boat. Solar panel (electric light, fridge, and possibility for example to charge mobilephone). Cabin can be rented for maximum 8 persons.

WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the owner or Lomarengas immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented). This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended. Suomu 17 km, Salla 50 km, Kemijärvi 56 km, Kuusamo 112 km. Good hunting grounds and fishing waters located nearby. Berry picking areas start from the cabin yard. Nearby reindeer round-up fence and old, sacred Sami sacrificial stones (Seita). Cabin can be reached by car in summer (can not be reached by car in winter: distance approx. 8 km).

-Maisema on todella hieno ja erämainen tunnelma. -Mökki, sauna, vene ym. tarjoavat loistavat puitteet erämaisen, monipuolisen järven sekä ympäristön vaihtelevasta maisemasta nauttimiseen varsinkin, silloin kun ei ole liian kylmä sää.
