Accommodation information
29 km to the east from Kouvola, lake Matalajärvi 15 m (length 0,6 km, width 0,6 km), sandy, hard shallow beach, own boat and pier. Wooden cottage 1970, renovated in 2011, kitchen, living room with a spreadable sofa (130 cm) one additional bed, bedroom (10 m²) with a double bed, bedroom (9 m²) with two beds, WC, washing room, sauna (electric sauna stove), lobby, covered porch with open fireplace. Air source heat pump. Capacity of water boiler is 60 l, so it is advisable to use water sparingly. There are two alternative sleeping places (by using spreadable bed) in the lakeside sauna, wood-burning sauna stove. Water must be brought from the lake by using bucket, sauna is available all year round. Note! All weekdays are suitable for the arrival or departure, except Saturday. Please do not select Saturday as a starting or ending date for your reservation, thank you.

Ukonuuni is a nice rental cabin for a comfortable holiday. There is plenty of space for outdoor games and playing on the plot. Good terrains for picking berries and mushroom nearby. Owner can rent electric outboard motor. You can also ask possibility to ice swimming from the owner. There is fall river of the lake right next to the cabin. River stays ice-free throughout the winter. You can swim in the river also in the winter time. Areas where ice can be weak (area where the river begins) are marked on the lake. You must be careful when you are on the ice! Tilava ja erittäin siisti mökki mahtavalla paikalla. Hyvin varusteltu keittiö, löytyi kaikki tarvittavat astiat ja tarvikkeet. Epätasainen maasto, liikuntarajoitteisille voi olla haastava. Mökki oli juuri sitä mitä halusimme syksyiseltä viikonlopulta; viihtyisä ja siisti. Tunnelmaa loi tuli takassa. Rantasaunan pehmeät löylyt ja pulahtaminen kylmään järveen sopivat hyvin metsä kävelyiden jälkeen. Siosittelen!
