This carved log cabin is located on the shore of lake Ahvenlampi on the border of the splendid Salamajärvi National Park. Cabin has kitchen and living room with 8 bunk-beds, two bedrooms; one with 2 bunk beds, another with 1 bunk bed. Fireplace, candles and lanterns, water from the well, cellar. Wood-heated stoves and fireplace for heating. Outdoor toilet (composting toilet). Sauna in separate building. Campfire site and smoking oven. Swimming possibility in pond Ahvenlampi, lake is rather deep. No boat. Duckboard path around the Ahvenlampi-pond.

WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented). This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended. Good walking trails in the neighbourhood. Marked walking trail from the cabin to Salamajärvi National Park. During the high fishing season there can be fishermen and hikers in the surroundings of the cabin. Cabin can be reached by car during summer, but not during winter. Kämppä kohdallaan ja myös lammen veden lämpötila. Korostaisin valolähteiden (kaasu- ja otsalamppu) tarpeellisuutta etenkin näin vuokrausajankohtien pimeimpinä ajankohtina. Saunareissulla varpaat mutuvat pihakiviin.. muista kuin noeasta.
